DMCA Ignored Hosting

What It Is, Why It Matters, and Why So Many Choose Orange Website

At OrangeWebsite, we serve customers who share a common need: reliable hosting that remains available even when complaints are received. Many clients have come to us after experiencing repeated takedowns, abrupt suspensions, or hosting providers that enforce U.S. copyright laws irrespective of server location.

This is why DMCA ignored hosting is important.

In this article, we explain what DMCA ignored hosting really is, why it exists, who it’s for, and why OrangeWebsite has become a long-standing choice for customers who need lawful protection, stability, and jurisdictional clarity.

What DMCA Ignored Hosting Actually Means

DMCA ignored hosting refers to web hosting services that operate outside the jurisdiction of the United States and are therefore not legally bound to comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

The DMCA is a U.S. law, yet many global hosting companies still enforce DMCA notices automatically. They do so to avoid disputes, payment processor complications, or legal uncertainty, even when these notices lack legal authority in their server locations.

At OrangeWebsite, we take a different approach. We operate under Icelandic and applicable European law, not U.S. copyright legislation. This means content is not removed simply because someone sends a DMCA notice. Any complaint must be evaluated under the laws that actually apply to our infrastructure.

That difference alone is often the deciding factor for our customers.

DMCA Ignored Hosting and local Iceland Laws

Why the DMCA System Is So Often Abused

The DMCA was intended to protect copyright holders, but in practice it is often misused. Automated systems, third-party agencies, and competitors frequently submit takedown requests without proper review. We regularly see customers arrive at OrangeWebsite after experiencing:

  • Websites suspended without warning
  • Entire hosting accounts were disabled due to a single complaint
  • Legitimate content removed despite clear fair-use arguments
  • No opportunity to respond before enforcement

In many cases, claims are not reviewed by a court. Hosting providers often comply by default. DMCA ignored hosting exists because allegations are not verdicts, and hosting providers should not act as courts.

The Practical Benefits of DMCA Ignored Hosting

For most customers, DMCA ignored hosting is about predictability and protection, not controversy.

The benefits are practical and measurable:

  • Content is not removed automatically based on emails or bots
  • False or malicious copyright claims are filtered out
  • Hosting stability improves dramatically for long-term projects
  • Website owners gain time and legal clarity instead of panic
  • Jurisdictional boundaries are respected

For businesses, creators, and platforms operating in sensitive or high-complaint environments, these advantages are essential rather than optional.

Who Uses DMCA Ignored Hosting?

A common misconception is that DMCA ignored hosting is only used for questionable content. In reality, many legitimate projects rely on it due to their risk profile, not legality.

Common examples include platforms that host or distribute:

  • User-generated content
  • Forums and discussion boards
  • Media, journalism, or archival material
  • Educational resources
  • Adult content operating within the law
  • International services serving global audiences

The common factor is exposure to complaints, not wrongdoing.

Icelandic Servers Ignore DMCA Demands

Why DMCA Ignored Hosting Is More Important Than Ever

Content enforcement is now highly automated. Complaints are filed in bulk, hosting providers respond immediately, and website owners must often recover content that did not violate any law.

This environment makes traditional hosting unreliable for many online businesses. DMCA ignored hosting restores balance by ensuring enforcement occurs through lawful review rather than automated response.

Jurisdictions like Iceland are recognized for providing this balance.

Why Customers Choose US

OrangeWebsite was established to serve customers who require offshore hosting supported by legal substance, not just marketing claims.

Our servers are located in Iceland, a country internationally recognized for strong protections of freedom of expression, privacy, and due process. This legal environment is fundamental to our operations.

We do not automatically enforce DMCA notices, as they have no legal standing in our jurisdiction. Complaints are reviewed under Icelandic and applicable EU law, with human assessment instead of automated suspensions.

DMCA ignored hosting does not mean low-quality or unstable service. Our infrastructure is built for projects that require reliability, security, and long-term uptime.

What DMCA Ignored Hosting Is Not

DMCA ignored hosting is sometimes misunderstood, so it’s worth being clear.

It does not mean:

  • Hosting illegal content
  • Ignoring court orders
  • Immunity from all laws
  • Operating without accountability

OrangeWebsite fully complies with Icelandic law and lawful court rulings. What we do not do is enforce foreign legal frameworks that do not apply to our servers.

Is DMCA Ignored Hosting Right for You?

If your website has been taken offline due to an automated complaint or a notice without proper review, you understand the value of DMCA ignored hosting.

It may be the right choice if you:

  • Host user-generated content
  • Operate internationally
  • Face frequent or malicious takedown attempts
  • Need long-term hosting stability
  • Value due process and jurisdictional clarity
Is DMCA Ignored Hosting Right For You

Final Thoughts

DMCA ignored hosting is not about avoiding the law. It is about being governed by the appropriate law.

At OrangeWebsite, we have built our hosting on jurisdictional integrity, privacy, and fairness, without sacrificing performance or professionalism. For customers who need hosting that remains stable under pressure, DMCA ignored hosting offers a lawful and proven alternative.

Making The Change

The Value Of Eco Hosting

The internet feels invisible to most people, but behind every website is a physical server drawing electricity, producing heat, and contributing to global energy consumption. As online infrastructure continues to grow, so does its environmental footprint. This is where eco web hosting comes in.

At Orange Website, eco web hosting is not a marketing buzzword — it’s a core principle. Our mission has always been to provide reliable, secure hosting while minimizing environmental impact. From shared hosting to eco server hosting, VPS, and dedicated servers, sustainability is built into how our infrastructure operates.

Eco web hosting, sometimes referred to as eco friendly web hosting or simply eco hosting, focuses on reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, and supporting renewable energy initiatives without sacrificing performance or security.

"You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make".

- Jane Goodall

What Is Eco Web Hosting?

Eco web hosting is web hosting powered by environmentally responsible infrastructure. This includes renewable energy usage, efficient data center design, optimized hardware, and sustainability programs that offset or reduce carbon emissions.

Historically, some hosting providers referred to this approach as organic web hosting. Much like organic farming, the idea was simple: operate responsibly, reduce waste, and avoid harmful practices wherever possible. Today, the industry has largely unified around the term eco hosting, but the philosophy remains the same.

At Orange Website, eco hosting means powering servers with renewable energy sources, choosing energy-efficient hardware, and designing systems that reduce unnecessary energy consumption at every level.

What Is Eco Web Hosting

Why Eco Friendly Web Hosting Matters More Than Ever

Data centers consume a staggering amount of electricity globally, much of it still generated from fossil fuels. Every website, email, backup, and database query contributes to that demand.

Eco friendly web hosting directly addresses this problem by changing how hosting infrastructure is powered and managed. Instead of relying solely on conventional power grids, eco hosting providers invest in renewable energy sources and energy-efficient systems that drastically lower environmental impact.

For website owners, choosing eco hosting is one of the simplest ways to reduce their digital carbon footprint — without changing their website, content, or workflow.

Eco Hosting vs Traditional Hosting

Traditional hosting environments often prioritize cost efficiency above all else, which can lead to outdated hardware, inefficient cooling systems, and energy-intensive operations.

Eco hosting, by contrast, focuses on long-term sustainability. Modern servers are optimized for performance per watt, data centers are designed to minimize cooling needs, and renewable energy sources replace or offset fossil fuel usage.

The result is hosting that is not only better for the environment, but often more reliable and future-proof.

Traditional Hosting V Eco Web Hosting

Data Center Energy Use

We tend to forget that for every web page that is visited, email that is sent or online video that is viewed, energy is being consumed in a data centre somewhere. It may be in a small closet-style server room or a large facility, but for every digital action, there is an electrical reaction. But it is more than just the energy to power servers that use massive amounts of energy. It takes significant cooling and, air conditioning and power backup systems.

While some data centres have improved their energy efficiency, it is still estimated that 85% of data centres across the globe are using far more energy than is necessary. The challenge is many data centres are located in mild or temperate climates where air conditioning may be needed to cool them year-round. In addition, some web hosting companies have their customer base in just a few time zones. Servers operate and use energy 24/7, but they may not be heavily accessed for a full third of the day. Web hosting companies may also be powered by electricity produced using fossil fuels, which are anything but an “organic” way to operate.

Data tracking energy use from data centres was not even gathered in the United States until 2008. While indications were that energy use would flatten out due to the use of more efficient servers being deployed, the U.S. Government still estimates that 10% of all the energy it uses goes to powering data centres in the country. That is the equivalent of energy used in millions of homes.

Regarding energy consumption and pollution, data centres have been compared to the steel mills of the 1950s and 1960s. While they may not be responsible for vast amounts of air pollution, data centres are using an increasing amount of energy and contributing to the use of fossil fuels. The answer is more eco web hosting and organic web hosting solution providers.

Eco Server Hosting: VPS & Dedicated Servers

Eco hosting is often associated with shared hosting, but sustainability doesn’t stop there. Eco server hosting extends to VPS and dedicated servers, and this is an area where Orange Website stands out.

Eco VPS Hosting

Eco VPS hosting provides the power and flexibility of a virtual private server while maintaining environmental responsibility. Through server virtualization, resources are allocated efficiently, reducing waste and maximizing hardware utilization. This means fewer physical servers are needed to support more customers — lowering energy consumption overall.

Orange Website’s eco VPS solutions are ideal for growing websites, applications, and businesses that need scalability without compromising sustainability.

Eco Dedicated Servers

Dedicated servers traditionally consume the most energy due to their raw performance and constant operation. However, with the right infrastructure, eco dedicated servers can still be environmentally responsible.

By using energy-efficient hardware, renewable energy sources, and optimized cooling systems, Orange Website offers eco server hosting that delivers enterprise-grade performance with a reduced carbon footprint. This makes it possible to run high-traffic websites, platforms, and privacy-focused services sustainably.

The Benefits Of Eco Web Hosting

So how can this problem be solved? Unfortunately, we can't stop using the internet, and companies must rely on data centres. The only available answer is Eco Web Hosting, or Green Hosting. Green hosting, also known as Eco web hosting, reduces the environmental impact of internet hosting by utilising green technologies. OrangeWebsite, an Iceland-based company that has been around for a decade, is doing just that.

Some of these green technologies we use at OrangeWebsite include energy-saving appliances, carbon offsetting, planting trees around the centre, and using renewable energy. So, while the average web server consumes 1,000 kWh of energy and 630 kilograms of carbon dioxide a year, we produce no carbon dioxide. This means that any business that utilises our services is reducing their and their customer's environmental footprint.

This isn't just a 'good' thing to do out of the kindness of a company's heart. It is a wise business decision. Partnering with OrangeWebsite changes an organisation's reputation. By adding green credentials to their name, a business can drastically alter how current and potential customers view them. Being environmentally conscious is an added benefit of shopping from them, one more reason to stay loyal or to move from a similar brand that isn't quite as forward-thinking. Additionally, because only the initial setup cost is high for the host, rather than the regular operational expense of buying energy from the utility company, it doesn't cost any more to use our services at OrangeWebsite.

Who is making the change to Eco Web Hosting?

It's not just companies switching their website hosting to green energy. Gaming communities such as Salty Zombies have partnered with us for not just using our Eco Web Hosting solutions for their website. But for all their dedicated gaming servers. These guys host and run some of the world's most popular ARK PVE servers and the biggest community RUST Discord server.

Everything we do at OrangeWebsite is run on green energy–primarily geothermal and hydropower. Businesses that partner with us are provided with a green site seal so their customers can see that they are also committed to protecting the planet.

But OrangeWebsite goes further than just utilising the power of renewable energy. Most of our staff work from home to reduce office and commuter traffic energy waste. Additionally, we are working to reverse any impact we make by planting between 250 and 1,000 trees monthly. Contact us to find out how you can partner with OrangeWebsite to get excellent web hosting services and play your part in fighting global warming and environmental damage.

Millennials and Eco Web Hosting

As Millennials move through adulthood and into their late thirties, many are choosing an entrepreneurial path, most often including digital storefronts and marketing. Based on the above traits, Millennials will make decisions based on pricing, reviews, services, and technical and customer service. They often consider whether their web services provider utilises green, eco web hosting strategies.

There are two additional aspects to this. The first is that Millennials understand the organic value of eco web hosting. This is based on their core beliefs about the ecology and the environment. The second is that they know the value green hosting can have in their own marketing efforts and how it helps them appeal to their target market. By letting their own prospects and customers know they are using environmentally friendly strategies, it gives them a competitive advantage. This is true of almost any product or service, especially for those seeking to grab the attention of Millennials.

The Marketing Value of Eco Web Hosting

Beyond the fact that eco web hosting conserves energy, is ecologically friendly, and is cost-effective. There is another significant reason to "go green." When you host with an eco web hosting provider like Orange Website, you can proudly display the "Green Seal" on your website, letting the world know you are taking an environmentally friendly approach to your business. This seal draws like-minded people to your organisation and can improve market share and loyalty. Many business to business and business to consumer websites are seeing the value of displaying the Green Seal.

Going green regarding technology has plenty of benefits, especially in using eco web hosting. It is also the right thing to do. If your company has not considered these benefits, we encourage you to learn more about OrangeWebsite.com. Our company was founded on the premise of providing eco-friendly solutions for web hosting.

These operations, including eco web hosting servers, operate on green energy. Our location in Iceland provides nearly unlimited natural energy resources. It also happens to be that Iceland has been named the world's safest location for web hosting.

OrangeWebsite also participates in the Canopy Project, replenishing rainforest trees that serve as the planet's lungs. To keep our planet green and to help reverse the damage already done, we are planting 250-1000 new trees every month. We invite you to support us in our efforts.

Understanding the full impact of technology and data centres on our planet is an excellent way to move forward with eco-friendly hosting solutions. We encourage you to visit Orange Website.com to learn more and to join us in green technology and eco-friendly hosting solutions.

    Performance Without Compromise

A common myth about eco hosting is that it somehow means slower websites or reduced reliability. In reality, the opposite is often true.

Modern, energy-efficient hardware tends to be newer, faster, and more reliable. Optimized data centers reduce thermal stress on components, leading to better uptime and fewer failures. At Orange Website, eco hosting goes hand-in-hand with performance, security, and stability.

Eco friendly web hosting does not mean “less power” — it means smarter power usage.

    Transparency, Trust, and Long-Term Thinking

Sustainability is not just about energy sources; it’s also about transparency and responsibility. Orange Website has long believed in being open about how our infrastructure operates, where energy comes from, and how environmental impact is addressed.

Eco hosting is a long-term commitment, not a short-term marketing tactic. As environmental regulations tighten and consumer expectations evolve, sustainable infrastructure is becoming the standard rather than the exception.

    Eco Hosting Trust and Transparency

Final Thoughts: Eco Hosting Is the Future of the Web

Eco web hosting is no longer a niche concept — it’s the future of responsible internet infrastructure. As energy demands grow and sustainability becomes unavoidable, hosting providers and website owners alike must adapt.

By choosing eco hosting, eco server hosting, or eco friendly web hosting with Orange Website, you’re not just hosting a website — you’re supporting a more sustainable, responsible internet.

    Organic Web Hosting

    Organic Web Hosting

    Organic Web Hosting

The word "organic" means "from the living". Organically grown foods have become increasingly popular across the globe because they are thought to be healthier for humans and the planet. Organic foods are grown without the use of chemicals and pesticides and the word itself has come to be identified with being “natural”. The word has become so widely accepted its use has spread beyond agriculture and is now even used in technology. Organic search engine rankings, for example, are non-paid rankings. They are generally achieved through search engine, algorithm-friendly tactics like pertinent and timely content and keyword and keyword phrases. There is another form of organics growing in popularity in the tech sector. It is that of organic web hosting.

    What is Organic Web Hosting?

Organic hosting is web hosting that is accomplished using environmentally friendly, or “green” tactics, strategies, and facilities. While energy is obviously a critical part of powering data centers, organic hosting uses it in a more responsible manner. There can also be other elements to organic hosting like the use of efficient servers, minimized use of cooling equipment, and more. To understand the need for organic hosting options, one should first understand the significant use of electricity being used to power data centers.

    Data Center Energy Use

We tend to forget that for every web page that is visited, email that is sent or online video that is viewed, energy is being consumed in a data center somewhere. It may be in a small closet-style server room or in a large facility but for every digital action, there is an electrical reaction. But it is more than just the energy to power servers that are using up massive amounts of energy. It takes significant cooling and air conditioning and power backup systems.

While some data centers have improved their energy efficiency, it is still estimated that 85% of data centers across the globe are using far more energy than is necessary. The challenge is, many data centers are located in located mild or temperate climates where air conditioning may be needed to cool them year round. In addition, some web hosting companies have their customer base largely in just a few time zones. Servers operate and use energy 24/7 but they may not be heavily accessed for a full third of the day. Web hosting companies may also be powered by electricity produced using fossil fuels which are anything but an “organic” way to operate.

When it comes to energy consumption and pollution, data centers have been compared to the steel mills of the 1950's and 1960's. While they may not be responsible for huge amounts of air pollution, data centers are using an increasing amount of energy and contributing to the use of fossil fuels. The answer is more eco web hosting and organic web hosting solution providers.

Are Data Centers the Steel Plants of this Generation?

Are Data Centers the Steel Plants of this Generation?

Are Data Centers the Steel Plants of this Generation?

There was a time when the United States and Europe were large steel producers. Today, China has grown to be the largest steel producing nation on the planet, followed by Japan and the United States. The fact is, China produces about half of the world's steel. Along with that title, China has developed a pollution problem and a serious one. In fact, China reduced or shut down dozens of steel plants through the winter of 2017-2018 to curtail the out of control air pollution in the country. It is said to be the largest shutdown of steel mills in history. China is experiencing the problems of an industrialized economy, much like that was seen in the United States and Europe in the 1950's and 1960's when smog hung heavy in the air over most major cities. Certainly, the world needs steel but that has to be balanced with the critical importance of clean air and water.

As North America and Europe have become less industrialized and more stringent pollution standards have been put in place, air quality has improved. However, there is an area of growing concern when it comes to the use of fossil fuels and energy use. It is the increasing problem of the massive energy use being created by data centers.

While it may be hard to imagine how the internet can cause a potential problem for our planet, one needs only perform a little due diligence to recognize the problem is real and it is growing. The question must be asked, “Are data centers the steel plants of this generation?”

    A Look at the Numbers

The numbers are attention-grabbing and perhaps a bit alarming.

    • Industry research indicates there are about 9 million data centers across the globe.
    • These data centers are using almost 1.9 billion square feet of space.
    • These data centers are always running 24-hours each day, every day.
    • To stay available, servers are running 100% of the time, even when not in use or when being used very little.
    • 90% of worldwide data center server space is used by American companies.
    • Data centers account for 10% of all the power used by the United States Government.
    • There is a data center in the US for every 100 of its citizens

While the number of data centers are said to be declining, that number can be a bit deceptive. More companies are hosting in the cloud, rather than having their own data center. Then there is another concern ahead. That of self-driving cars.

As we get closer and closer to the time where autonomous driving cars and trucks become a reality, it will create an increasing demand for server space as cars communicate with GPS and other vehicles through the internet.

Even large companies who may consider themselves "green" should take another look at how and where their data is being stored. Small companies can benefit as well.

    Energy Use and Data Centers

Consider the power it takes to operate the servers in some 9 million data centers across the planet. Now, think about the other power being used on other electrical powered items like lights and monitors. Consider the fuel used by employees of these centers traveling to and from work every day. The biggest user of energy, however, is a critical component to the health and well-being of large servers. It is air conditioning.

Cool air is critical in the smooth operation of computers and servers. Much of the world's 1.9 billion square feet of data center space needs to be cooled. To make the environmental problem worse is that many countries where these data centers are located still rely heavily on non-renewable energy sources like fossil fuel. You can begin to see why data centers just may be the steel plants of this generation.

The Answer is Eco Web Hosting

The answer lies in eco web hosting solutions from a company like OrangeWebsite.com. OrangeWebsite is based in Iceland where over 99% of the energy is from renewable sources like geothermal. It’s Easy Going “Green”

    It’s Easy Going “Green”

    Going Green

Operating on an environmentally friendly basis is becoming more important for both individuals and companies. From using recyclable shopping bags to more energy efficient automobiles, we are all taking steps in protecting our planet. Even if you do not have a bricks and mortar business, you may be surprised at some of the steps you can take and some of the benefits you can enjoy by operating in environmentally responsible ways.

For large and small companies alike, operating “green” is not only the right thing to do for the Earth, it is becoming increasingly important for the profitability of your company.

    What Is Operating Green?

Operating green means looking at every aspect of your company and choosing more energy efficient and environmentally friendly options. Operating green means choosing more efficient lighting, reusing or recycling waste, using more fuel efficient vehicles, and looking for more energy efficient power options.

There is one critical step in operating your business on a green basis that is relatively simple to take. It is choosing green companies when selecting your vendors. Choosing environmentally friendly resources can make it easy for your company to become green.

Ways Operating “Green” Is Good for Your Business

When you select partner companies who are operating in an environmentally friendly way, you begin to build a network of green vendors. This alone makes you a greener company, even if your business is limited in what it can do directly to become more Earth friendly. This is particularly true of digital and internet-based companies who may not have a large brick and mortar presence.

Operating green and using green partners is good for your company in multiple ways:

    • It will likely save you money. It is pretty simple, saving energy saves you money. Business and vendors who operate in environmentally friendly ways frequently operate more efficiently. This often makes them more cost-effective and competitively priced.
    • It enhances your marketing. Promoting your green initiatives can help position your company better in its marketing. More consumers and businesses are in search of companies to partner with who operate in Earth friendly ways. By making green choices internally and with your vendor partners, you will likely attract more consumers. Displaying a Green Seal on your website can attract like-minded customers.
    • It is the right thing to do. Most of us understand that being less wasteful, saving energy, and recycling is the right thing to do. Making environmentally sustainable choices in your business will make you feel better about how you operate and make your potential customers feel better about working with you.

For those in search of green web hosting, it seems Iceland may be the perfect location.

Green Energy and Web Hosting in Iceland

More businesses are discovering the green benefits of web hosting in Iceland. Why is choosing hosting in this secluded country a popular choice for companies looking to operate green? There are two important reasons.

    1. A cool climate. Keeping servers cool in a data center is critical to their uninterrupted operation. Servers themselves create heat and, of course, there's the outside temperatures to manage. Air conditioning in data centers in popular locations like New York and other large cities use a significant amount of energy. This also contributes to the costs of hosting there. Iceland's cooler climate uses less air conditioning and less electricity.
    2. Cheap, renewable energy. Iceland is noted for its renewable energy initiatives. As energy use for data centers increases across the world, this is a country that is making the most of renewable resources. Iceland is also noted for its low energy costs, especially when compared to large cities. Hydroelectric and geothermal power supply the vast majority of energy in the country with fossil fuels accounting for less than .2% of energy production.

With energy contributing as the single largest expense for data centers across the globe, it is easy to see why more companies are selecting Iceland web hosting.

    Choosing Orange to be Green

OrangeWebsite.com is your 100% green web hosting solution. Our data center is located in Iceland, using geothermal and hydroelectric power to run our servers. We operate in other environmentally responsible ways as well. Most of our staff operates remotely from home, reducing traffic, fuel use, emissions, and use of building space and energy. Not only are we supporting green initiatives, we are trying to reverse the effects of over-population and pollution by participating in the Canope Project. This project is replenishing rain forests by planting 250-1000 new trees each month. Placing our Green Site seal on your website lets your visitors know they are working with an environmentally responsible organization.

Concept cars often resemble an engineer’s most incredible daydreams – the end results are mind-blowing, dazzling, and completely unrealistic for everyday use. Although these cars seldom make it to the market for ordinary shoppers, they can still spark the development of innovative technology that can be used in more practical vehicles. New technology is crucial for the development of hybrid cars. More consumers are purchasing hybrid vehicles now that such a wide range of models are available. Options are no longer limited to tiny “clown cars” – consumers can now choose a hybrid option in nearly any size they please, including an SUV. Developing new ways to power these vehicles is essential, and Mercedes is leading the way. Their latest concept vehicle, the Vision G-Code, is an innovative masterpiece.

An article in ExtremeTech outlines the Vision G-Code’s revolutionary design. The car is blanketed in multi-voltaic paint that actually generates fuel from the wind and sun. Although it may seem unbelievable, hydrogen fuel is created by combining thin-film solar technology with wind power. The super-charged hydrogen combustion engine powers the front wheels of the vehicle, burning an energy-efficient fuel that produces only water as an emission. A conventional electric motor powers the vehicle’s back wheels.

The traditional method of generating power from wind resistance wouldn’t work well for vehicles. After all, you wouldn’t want anything on your vehicle creating resistance to wind – that would kill your gas mileage and make for a choppy ride. The engineering geniuses at Mercedes thought outside the box and found a way to apply this kind of energy generation to the vehicle without actual resistance while driving. The movement of the wind over the stationary vehicle creates a charge used for hydrogen production – a process referred to as “electrostatic wind generation.” In theory, when the Vision G-Code is stopped at a red light, the wind creates hydrogen to assist the rear-wheel batteries while the paint job absorbs solar energy for further power generation.

The necessity of the electric engine makes it clear that harnessing enough hydrogen to power the entire vehicle is still not possible. However, the electric and hydrogen engines work in harmony to create a more energy-efficient product. There are still no figures to show exactly how much fuel is produced by the multi-voltaic paint, and research needs to be done regarding its cost and durability. Even if the paint could cut electricity use by 10% per month, it would offer a reasonable ROI. As the article points out, it’s unlikely that the Vision G-Code will lead to extensive green energy-generation technology – but it could at least pave the way toward innovative energy-saving technology.
